Cloudy Carnegie

Cloudy Carnegie, PhD, is a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Hostelworld, where they have been working since 2025. They previously held positions at the Financial Times as a Lead Data Scientist, and at Emma – The Sleep Company as a Senior Data Scientist. Cloudy completed a PhD in Statistical NanoPhysics at the University of Cambridge and earned a first-class Integrated Masters and Bachelors Degree in Physics from Imperial College London. Earlier in their career, Cloudy served as a Campaigns Assistant for the Labour Party and interned in Private Equity Advisory at Skillcapital.
