Alexander Lord

Alexander Lord has over 18 years of experience in risk frameworks and assurance. Alexander is currently serving as the Head of Risk Frameworks and Assurance at Hostplus. Previously, they worked at Deloitte Australia, where they held the positions of Director and Senior Manager. In these roles, they led regulatory projects in financial services, including Open Banking, Recovery and Resolution Planning, MiFID II, and Global Data Protection Regulation. Alexander also has experience in market conduct risk and strategy in the European Financial Markets. Prior to Deloitte, they worked as a Senior Analyst at PwC.

Alexander Lord has a diverse education history. Alexander completed a short course in Executive Education from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and another short course in Rethinking World Leadership and the Great Shift East from Peking University. Alexander also earned a Masters of Applied Finance degree with a major in Corporate Finance Advisory, Institutional Banking, and Structured Products from the Financial Services Institute of Australiasia (FINSIA/KAPLAN). Additionally, they hold a Graduate Diploma of Accounting from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Bachelor of Business & Accounting from RMIT University. Alexander completed their VCE from Luther College, Melbourne and participated in an Exchange Program in Applied Finance & International Economics at Bentley University. In 2017, they graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors with the Graduate Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) certification.
