Toby Owen

Toby Owen is responsible for ensuring the company’s product portfolio meets the needs of the market as Hostway’s Chief Product and Technology Officer. With 10 years in hosting product management and over 20 years in Information Technology, he brings a career’s worth of experience to help shape Hostway’s offerings and to pave the way for success with the next generation of technologies.

Prior to joining Hostway, Toby was Vice President of Product Development for OnRamp, an Austin-based hosting company focused on high-security hosting solutions, and successfully introduced the market’s first HITRUST-compliant OpenStack cloud. Toby also led Product and Marketing for Cogeco Peer 1, and held various leadership roles at Rackspace including International Head of Product Strategy and leading the Hybrid Cloud Solutions development team. Prior to entering the managed services industry, Toby was Associate Vice President at Wells Fargo Bank, directing technology operations for their internet banking systems.

Toby holds an MBA from The Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He lives with his wife and three children in Dripping Springs, TX.
