HOT COTTAGE is a design office and creative consultancy led by Ed Davis, working in partnership with Rob Cordiner.

Established in 2025, the studio produces thoughtful, materially aware work across design, publishing, and cultural projects, shaped by research, context, and close collaboration with clients.

A long-standing collaborative practice informs the studio’s work.

From 2015—2024, as founder and art director of Brain Dead, Davis established a precedent for working across design and visual culture—not only as an extension of an artistic practice, but also a way to define community, identity, and context. 

HOT COTTAGE works across brand, culture, and community, developing and designing visual identities, publications, packaging, apparel, and environments with collaborators and clients internationally. Its work moves fluidly between brand, culture, and community, focusing on projects that create meaning, connection, and context.
