Hot Horse Ltd is a web development agency founded in 1999, based in East Sussex. We specialise in bespoke web applications, e-commerce development, and platform integrations for businesses across the UK.

As a BigCommerce Partner, we build and migrate high-performance online stores with custom Stencil themes, advanced search (Algolia, SearchSpring), and payment integrations (Stripe, PayPal, Opayo, Smart Debit). Beyond e-commerce, we develop custom CRMs, membership platforms, booking engines, and data synchronisation tools.

Our technical stack includes Node.js, NestJS, React, Vue.js, Astro, ColdFusion/Lucee, and Python, backed by AWS, Azure, and modern CI/CD pipelines. We work with MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Redis.

What makes us different: every project is led directly by our co-founders, Clare Wilkinson and Will Swain. No junior developers, no account managers — just 25+ years of hands-on experience and long-term client relationships, many spanning over a decade.
