Simon Gerritsen is a Data/Platform Engineer at Hot ITem since March 2023. Previously, Simon held an internship as a Data Analyst in Global Audit at The HEINEKEN Company in 2022, and served as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from September 2021 to May 2022. Simon's early experience includes positions as an Events Executive at DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station and as an Event Coordinator Trainee at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. Simon began the professional journey in the hospitality sector with a Front Office Trainee role at Holiday Inn Parijs - St. Germain des Près. Simon's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Digital Business & Innovation from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, a Pre Master in the same field, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hotel and Hospitality Management from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences. Simon completed secondary education at Schoter scholengemeenschap with a HAVO degree.
