David Calicchio

David Calicchio has extensive experience in the field of photography, with a focus on creative services and studio management. David has held various roles throughout their career, starting with their time as a Digital Photographer at eToys and Babycenter in 2000. David then worked as a Scanner and Post-Production Artist at Luna Imaging, where they developed expertise in color management and producing high-quality digital images.

In 2001, David became a Photography Coordinator at Robinsons-May/Meier&Frank, where they managed production and design assets for promotional collateral. David collaborated closely with fashion trend coordinators and a creative director to create original photography and illustrations for advertisements.

David then joined BCBG Max Azria Group in 2006 as the Head Photographer, where they founded the Photography Department and oversaw the creation of three studios. David played a key role in developing the Ecommerce Photography Program and shot hundreds of images per week.

From 2011 to 2013, David served as the Chief Creative Photographer and videographer at bebe Store, Inc. David managed a team of creative professionals and created images for bebe brands across various media platforms. David also established a photography and video studio and directed fashion videos.

David's experience also includes teaching at Otis College of Art and Design, where they served as an Instructor of Digital Still Photography and Lighting Studio Techniques. David proposed and conducted a class that bridged traditional photography and digital image creation. David also worked as an In House Photographer, creating portraiture and editorial content for Otis College's catalogues.

Most recently, David has been working at Hot Topic since 2013, first as a Studio Manager and currently as the Creative Services Director at Hot Topic/BoxLunch/Their Universe. In this role, they have directed and supervised multiple studios and a team of creative professionals. David has also established and developed creative teams for various brands under Hot Topic Inc.
