David Easey

Senior Data Engineer at HotDoc

David Easey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. David started their career as a Retail Assistant Supervisor at MacDonalds Children's Wear in 2013. In 2015, they worked as a Management Consultant - People & Organisation Vacationer at PwC Australia, where they developed an analysis tool and presented a strategy for attracting diverse graduates into consulting jobs. David then moved on to Burgmann Anglican School in 2015, where they served as an Outside School Hours Care Educator & Learning Support Assistant, supporting students with special educational needs and organizing activities.

In 2016, David worked simultaneously at Campus Living Villages as a Residential Assistant, responsible for planning and running events for students, ensuring their safety, and conducting risk assessments. David also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Melbourne, where they analyzed data on granular materials and communicated results to their supervisor.

David joined Zoos Victoria in 2017 as a Visitor Services Officer and later transitioned to Gungahlin Maths Tutoring & Tutoring for Excellence in 2012, where they worked as a Secondary School Mathematics & Science Tutor until 2017.

David's career then took him to Deloitte Australia in 2018, where they initially worked as a Graduate/Analyst and later became a Consultant. During their time at Deloitte, they provided consulting services to clients.

In 2020, David joined AGL Energy as a Data Engineer, utilizing their skills to work with data. Currently, they are working at HotDoc as a Data Engineer, starting from 2021, and later transitioning to the role of Senior Data Engineer.

David Easey completed their ACT Year 12 Certificate at Burgmann Anglican School from 2000 to 2012. David then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics at The Australian National University from 2013 to 2015. During the same period, they also studied Applied Mathematics and University Scholars Programme (USP) at the National University of Singapore. From 2016 to 2017, David pursued a Master of Science with Distinction (MSc) in Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Melbourne.
