Jonathan Strachan has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Jonathan started their career at Lloyd's Register of Shipping as a Ship Surveyor, specializing in the new construction of passenger vessels in Italy. After that, they worked as a Naval Architect at Cammell Laird Technical Services, where they were involved in ship design and engineering. Following this, they joined Carnival Corporation as a Naval Architect, gaining further experience in the field. Jonathan then joined ABS Consulting as a Senior Naval Architect before moving to Burness Corlett Three Quays, where they served as the Deputy Managing Director. Currently, Jonathan is the Chief Technical Officer at Houlder Limited, responsible for overseeing ship design, engineering, and project management.
Jonathan Strachan obtained their M Eng degree in Marine Technology from Newcastle University from 1989 to 1993.
