Lijo Thomas, CEng, is a seasoned marine engineer with extensive experience in the maritime industry. Currently serving as a Senior Marine Engineer at Houlder Limited since September 2013, Lijo has conducted significant third-party reviews for the design and feasibility of LNG loading terminals, ensuring compliance with industry standards and international regulations. Previously, at Global Maritime from January 2012 to August 2013, Lijo led a team in designing piping systems for DP3 semisubmersible platforms and DP2 jack-up vessels. Lijo's career began at Lloyd's Register from May 2008 to December 2011 as a Surveyor and Senior Surveyor in the Fire and Safety department, where certification work for lifesaving and fire safety appliances was performed. Earlier experience includes an Assistant Engineer role at Wavespec, contributing to a CNG feed study for a marine transport model. Lijo holds a Master’s degree in Marine Technology from Newcastle University and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from PESIT.
