Armando Lopez has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Armando currently holds the position of Permit Operations Manager at Housable, where they deliver exceptional service to clients and resolves issues through process improvements. Armando also designs numerous projects monthly, contributing to high revenue for the company.
Prior to joining Housable, Armando worked at SpaceX as a CAD Designer, where they supported production facility designs and translated engineering requirements into executable plans. Armando was responsible for managing and updating campus maps and building drawings.
Armando also has experience as a City Planning Commissioner for the City of Signal Hill, California, where they participated in hearings and rendered decisions on land use matters. Armando conducted special studies on land use issues and made recommendations for conditional use permits, zoning ordinances, and general plan amendments.
Earlier in their career, Armando worked as an Engineering Technician III at Hussmann, where they developed CAD models and engineered drawings to support prototype production and final designs. Armando also worked as a CAD Designer II at SubZero Constructors, Inc., and as a CAD Designer at Source Refrigeration & HVAC.
Armando began their career as an Architect Assistant at NL Services Inc., where they interacted with architects and property managers, surveyed commercial properties, and assisted with construction drawings and permit submittals.
Throughout their career, Armando has demonstrated strong technical skills in CAD design, blueprints interpretation, and project management. Armando has also received recognition for their exceptional performance, including being awarded the "On The Spot" award by the VP Engineer at Source Refrigeration & HVAC.
Armando Lopez obtained their Associate of Science degree in Computer-Aided Design/Architectural Drafting from Westwood College-Los Angeles from 2003 to 2005. In 2017, they earned a certificate in Management & Supervision from California State University-Dominguez Hills. In the year 2018, Armando completed the Revit Fundamentals Certificate Program at California State University, Long Beach.
