Jons Mottram has a diverse work experience history, with roles in various companies and industries. Jons started their career as an Account Executive at Essence in 2014, then moved on to become a Senior Account Executive, where they were responsible for managing paid search campaigns across multiple regions. Jons was later promoted to become a Performance Media Manager, leading a cross-channel performance team and implementing testing plans and optimization methodologies. In 2017, Jons was promoted to Media Planning Director at Essence, leading a team in delivering large-scale media campaigns for Google AdWords.
After leaving Essence, Jons joined Google as part of the SMB MassPo Acquisition team, supporting Google Product Marketing across EMEA. Jons co-founded the "A-Team" analytics squad and implemented data integrity and optimization techniques across campaigns.
Jons then worked as a Growth & Digital Consultant at One by X, where they provided consulting services to agency and SME clients, focusing on performance media campaigns and strategy implementation. Jons also worked as the Head of Growth at what3words, a company that simplifies location communication through a unique addressing system.
Later, Jons moved to Naked Wines as the Global Head of Digital Growth, where they disrupted the wine industry, supporting talented winemakers and providing wine drinkers with great quality wine at preferential prices.
Most recently, Jons has held positions as a Director of Growth at Zoopla and Houseful, as well as a Member of the Leadership Team at Growth & Company.

Jon Mottram has a diverse education history. Jons completed the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in 2023, specializing in Wine Steward/Sommelier. In 2020, they obtained an Advanced Growth Strategy certification from Reforge. In the same year, they also completed a Certificate in Digital Marketing from Squared Online. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2013, Jon pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Warwick. Jons attended the British School of Brussels from 1997 to 2009 but did not specify a degree or field of study for that period. Jon also holds additional certification, such as Bing Ads Accredited Professional Status from Microsoft.
