Karen Ford, LMSW, currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of HousingPlus since May 2025. Prior to this role, Ford was the Executive Vice President of Homeless and Support Services at CAMBA from June 2024 to April 2025, providing leadership and management for various shelter programs and support services. Ford also held the position of Executive Director at the Mayor's Office for Nonprofit Services from December 2022 to December 2023, focusing on advocating for the nonprofit sector and implementing reform efforts, and concurrently served as Executive Director in the NYC Office of the Mayor. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at HELP USA, overseeing homeless prevention and support services, and as Deputy Commissioner of Family Services at the NYC Department of Homeless Services. Ford began a career at Samaritan Daytop Village, Inc. as Acting Vice President of Real Estate and Housing. Ford holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work Administration from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Adelphi University.
