Amanda Munoz

Infection Preventionist

Amanda Munoz is an experienced public health professional with a focus on infection prevention and epidemiology. Currently serving as an Infection Preventionist at Houston Methodist since March 2023, Amanda previously held the role of Infection Control Practitioner at Kindred from June 2022 to March 2023, and worked as an Epidemiologist at Harris County Public Health from March 2020 to June 2022. Amanda's experience also includes an internship with the World Health Organization in 2019, as well as roles at Brazos County Health Department and Houston Health Department. Amanda earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Texas A&M University.
