Jay Ro

Jay Ro is a Professor and Director of Surgical Pathology at The Methodist Hospital System, a position held since 2005. There, they focus on education, mentoring students, residents, fellows, and junior staff, while conducting research on genitourinary and lung pathology. Prior to their current role, Jay served as the Chairman of the Department of Pathology and Director of Surgical Pathology at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, Korea, from 1998 to 2011. Jay began their medical career at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, from 1984 to 2001. They earned both an MD and PhD in Medicine from Yonsei University Medical College between 1963 and 1974.
