Rick Iler

Rick Iler currently serves as the Director of Leadership and Learning at Houston Methodist, a position held since January 2024. In this role, Rick enhances and oversees leadership development initiatives, including the Academy of Leadership and Learning, and collaborates with leaders across the organization to improve the patient and employee experience. Concurrently, Rick has been an Adjunct Professor at Lone Star College since 2013, teaching Public Speaking and Business Communications. Previously, Rick held the position of Senior Director of Talent Management at Community Health Choice, where leadership and talent development strategies were prioritized, and served as the Director of Learning and Development, establishing a department and launching a Learning Management System. Additional leadership roles include President and CEO of MediaLine Careers, CEO/Managing Editor of NewsBlues, and Learning and Development Director at Boxer Property. Rick's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Mass Communications and a Bachelor’s degree in Radio and Television Communications from West Texas A&M University.
