Stephen Winert

Stephen Winert is an experienced nurse manager at Houston Methodist, overseeing over 50 personnel in the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit and Donation Care Suite since February 2017. Responsibilities include managing human resources activities such as hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Previously, Stephen held roles as a clinical resource nurse and a neurointensive care registered nurse, providing direct patient care and leading initiatives as a Magnet Champion. Stephen's earlier experience includes work as a research assistant at BYU College of Nursing, where data collection tools were prepared, and a student nurse professional position at Houston Methodist, where direct patient care was provided alongside an evidence-based practice presentation. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Nursing/Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler and a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing from Brigham Young University, along with minors in Business Management and Gerontology.
