Michael Mercieca

Michael Mercieca has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Michael is currently the Director at BMIT Technologies since September 2022. Prior to that, they co-founded Houzit in January 2022 as well as Zanzi Homes and QuickLets in 2018.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Michael worked at Deloitte for a significant part of their career. Michael served as a Senior Manager Tax from December 2013 to June 2018, where they specialized in global employer services, personal tax matters, and the Malta Residence Programs. Michael also worked as a Tax Practitioner from October 2008 to June 2018, offering tax advisory and planning services to clients. Earlier in their career, they were an Auditor at Deloitte from January 2003 to September 2008, gaining experience in auditing various clients in different industries.

Aside from their professional experience, Michael also worked as a Tax Lecturer at BPP from August 2013 to June 2016, sharing their expertise in tax matters.

Michael Mercieca pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning with their completion of 6th Form at St Edwards from 2000 to 2002. From 2003 to 2007, they attended BPP and obtained a degree in Accountancy, specifically in the field of study of ACCA. Following this, they pursued further education at Mata Institute of Taxation from 2009 to 2010, where they earned a Diploma in Taxation. Lastly, from 2012 to 2013, Michael pursued an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) with a focus on Taxation at the Malta Institute Of Management.
