Mark Morganstern has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Starting as an Engineering Intern at Stanford Telecom, they gained experience in executing automated test scripts and writing Perl scripts. Mark then worked as a Software Intern at Bike-Alog, where they programmed a user interface and provided training in Visual Basic.
Moving on to Infogenesis as a QA Engineer, Mark took on the role of Team Leader, creating test plans and ensuring timely release of product feature enhancements. Mark also set up and configured distributed server systems for compliance.
At Citrix Online, Mark held various roles, including Sr. QA Engineer, Staff QA Engineer, and Manager 2, Product Development. As a test lead, they managed testing and deployment efforts, gaining a thorough understanding of system-level architecture. Mark also played a key role in stabilizing integration environments and automating deployment and configuration processes.
Mark then joined Sonos, Inc., where they served as Principal Engineer, Manager, and later as Senior Manager of Data Engineering and Instrumentation. Here, they led a team of Data Engineers, designed a new Data Platform, and architected a novel schema crawling metadata Data Catalog for self-service data discovery.
Most recently, Mark worked at PeerStreet as the Director & Head of Data Engineering, where they modernized data capabilities, implemented a new data infrastructure based on Snowflake, and incorporated data modeling best practices.
Mark is currently working at HOVER Inc. as the Senior Director of Data Engineering.
Mark Morganstern obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, which they attended from 1998 to 2002. Mark also holds a certification in Scrum as a Certified Product Owner from Scrum Alliance, although the specific month and year of obtaining the certification are not provided.
