Michael Novelly

Michael Novelly is the current VP of Finance at HOVER. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Financial Officer for Vivino, FRONTEO USA, Gracenote, and Discover Books.

Novelly began their career in finance, but quickly transitioned into tech startups. Michael has a proven track record of success in rapidly scaling businesses worldwide. In their most recent role at Vivino, they were part of a new management team that helped the company achieve 50% year-over-year growth.

Novelly is a strategic thinker who is able to see the big picture and make decisions that are in the best interest of the company. Michael is an effective communicator and leader who is able to build strong relationships with their team.

Michael Novelly has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business. Michael is certified by WSET — Wine & Spirit Education Trust as a WSET Wine & Spirits Education Trust Level 2 - Certified. Michael is also certified by The Court of Master Sommeliers as a Sommelier and by GuildSomm as a Sommelier - Completion of 25+ courses in Viticulture & Vinification. In addition, they are certified by the California State Board of Ac as a Certified Public Accountant and by the California Society of CPAs/CalCPA Education Foundation as a CPA.

Michael Novelly reports to Yevgenia Fink, CFO. They are on a team with and Nathaniel Keller - Head of FP&A.
