Lars Nelson

Lars Nelson is the Managing Director and Head of Germany at Howden Re, a position they began in 2025. They previously served as General Manager at SiriusPoint from 2014 to 2023 and held the role of Underwriting Manager at Sirius Group from 2010 to 2014. Earlier in their career, Lars worked as a Broker at Aon Benfield from 2003 to 2010, following an internship at VGH Versicherungen in 2003 and another internship at PKF Fasselt Schlage between 2001 and 2002. Lars holds a Diplom in Wirtschaftsjurist from Universität Lüneburg and completed further education in casualty underwriting at the Deutsche Versicherungsakademie.
