John During

John During is an experienced professional with a strong background in civil engineering and business management. Currently serving as a Representative for Africa at Howick Ltd since June 2013 and Principal at Finbow Real Estate since March 2013, John also acts as a consultant to JDRE. With a long history of entrepreneurship, John has been the Proprietor of Remu since 2004, where a manuscript titled “Poverty – the Apartheid of Humanity” is nearing completion. Previous roles include Africa Representative for Howick Africa, Manager at JDRE, Director at Finbow SA (Pty) Ltd, and Director at Risk Management & Business Analysis. John’s experience in civil engineering began with positions at Gauteng Civil Engineering Company, Cylenco Civils, and Western Cape Civils Companies. John holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Pretoria, completed between 1967 and 1971.
