Johan Saur has been working in the tech industry since 1999. Johan began their career as an Allt at Björnbodahallen. In 2010, they became a System Developer at Qbrick - part of IP-Only, where they worked on configuring and writing plugins for 3rd part video transcoding/packetizer software, developing edge cache solutions, developing load balancer software, developing a provisioning system for installation and configuring of software, as well as specific customer configurations on the different server softwares, and writing HTTP REST apis. In 2017, they moved to Bonnier News as a System Developer, where they worked on developing intake modules that ingested data from editorial systems, external APIs, FTP ingests, file storage, etc. In 2019, they became a System Developer at AB Trav och Galopp (ATG), where they were responsible for the horse-related functionality serving www.atg.se and the app, as well as providing services for other teams to use. Currently, they are the Lead Backend Developer at Howwe Technologies, where their duties include making sure the product roadmap and technological roadmap do not block each other, translating the product roadmap into technical requirements, and breaking it down into concrete development tasks.
Johan Saur obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Maskinteknik from KTH Royal Institute of Technology between 2000 and 2005. Prior to that, they attended Sörgårdsskolan, Grimstaskolan and Norra Real from 1986 to 1995. Johan also holds certifications from SSTB, Swedish Software Testing Board and Microsoft.
