Carol Surface

Carol Surface currently serves as Chief People Officer at HP since March 2025, after holding a similar position at Apple from March 2023 to December 2024. Prior to these roles, Carol was the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Medtronic from September 2013 to March 2023, and held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Best Buy from March 2010 to September 2013. Earlier in Carol's career, significant experience was gained at PepsiCo, where various titles included Chief Personnel Officer for Asia, Middle East, and Africa, as well as Vice President of Human Resources for China Beverages. Carol Surface earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Central Michigan University, where studies were completed from 1987 to 1995, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from Castleton University.
