Derek Chen is an Engineering Program Manager at HP, where they currently lead various teams in firmware development and mechanical engineering, focusing on sustainable innovations for laptops and desktops. Derek has previously served as a Mechanical R&D Program Manager at Dell Technologies, optimizing design processes and achieving significant cost savings. They hold a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Engineering from National Sun Yat-Sen University. Derek is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® and Certified Scrum Master (CSM), bringing years of experience in cross-functional leadership within consumer electronics and enterprise hardware.
