Niall Johnston

Niall Johnston is an accomplished Chief Information Officer with extensive experience in leading IT functions across major global organizations. Currently serving as CIO at HP since November 2023, Niall previously held the role of SVP & CIO Strategic Separation Programs Leader at GE, overseeing the separation of the conglomerate into three independent entities. Niall has a strong background at GE Power, serving as Global CIO and leading significant IT initiatives supporting a large workforce and multi-billion dollar revenues. Earlier experiences include managing the Information Systems function at Alstom, where Niall was responsible for a substantial IT budget and drove business process transformations. Niall holds a BEng Hons in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from The University of Manchester and completed an AMS at INSEAD.
