HPA – “Helping People Achieve” is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation that has been supporting Territorians with physical and intellectual disabilities since 1963 across the Darwin and Palmerston regions.

We currently support individuals through both employment and accommodation services, helping people build skills, independence, and meaningful community participation.

Our services are delivered through a range of divisions:

Kokoda Industries – A manufacturing workshop producing timber, steel, and aluminium products including park furniture, seating, pallets, lattice, and other custom-built items.

Ausdesigns – An industrial sewing and production business providing screen printing, embroidery, digital printing, promotional products, workwear, and assembly services, while also undertaking collating and confidential document shredding.

DAS Support Services – Provides supported accommodation options including 24-hour care, independent living units, training units, and outreach support tailored to individual needs.

PEG (Participant Engagement & Growth) – Focused on life skills development, recreational activities, and community engagement to build confidence and independence.

Breaking Ground – Maintenance and general services division providing practical work opportunities and skill development.

We are also involved in employment pathways that provide real work opportunities for people with disability, supporting long-term independence and community inclusion.
