Adrian Gropper is a seasoned technology executive and medical professional with extensive experience in health information technology and patient privacy. Currently serving as CTO of Patient Privacy Rights since 2012, Adrian focuses on critical issues such as access, interoperability, patient matching, cybersecurity, transparency, and caregiver delegation. In addition to this role, Adrian has been Principal at HIE of One and CEO of HealthURL Consulting since 2014 and 2011 respectively, guiding organizations through changes in the medical device and health tech landscapes. As an advisor at HPEC since 2018, Adrian advocates for self-sovereign technology and open medical science. Previous positions include EVP and Founder of MedCommons, Founder of Amicas, Inc., and Consultant at Massachusetts General Hospital, along with a background in research at Analytix Medical Instruments. Adrian holds an MD from Harvard Medical School and a BSME from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
