The vision of HPSA Acumen came into view in 1997 by Marijka E. Lampard following her early work as a hospital planner developing HPSA applications for St. Vincent’s Hospital in Erie, PA, and later at Kaleida Health in Buffalo, NY. These experiences highlighted the growing complexity hospitals face in navigating federal designation processes.

Today, we combine efficient healthcare data management, deep understanding of government guidelines, and accurate physician workforce analysis to provide a clear picture of healthcare access in communities across the United States. Precision and attention to detail are central to our work.
