Jason Ward is an accomplished data science and brand research leader with extensive experience across various industries. Currently serving as the Director of Data Science at H&R Block since January 2019, Jason previously held the position of Vice President of Brand Research, Strategy and Innovation at BrandIQ and directed consumer insights at DineEquity, Inc., where responsibilities included driving data-based decision-making for the Applebee’s brand. Jason also directed business and product strategy at Ascend Learning, managing product life-cycle for B2C and B2B solutions, and led product experience design and analytics at Sprint, enhancing customer experience through data insights. Jason's career began as a Research Fellow at the Army Research Institute, focusing on interpersonal skill development for officers. Educational qualifications include a B.S. in Psychology from Truman State University and an M.S. in Human Factors/Applied Cognition, along with ABD status in Applied Cognition from Kansas State University.
