Dave Conte

Dave Conte began their career in 1999 as a Senior Finance Manager at Dell. In this role, they were responsible for guiding the company through its aggressive growth phase and eventual exit with SAP AG. During their time at Camilion, Conte built budget and financial modeling core to the business operations and to the M&A activity. Dave also advanced the control framework and complexity in pace with Camilion’s evolution. In addition to their finance-related duties, Conte also led HR initiatives, including advancing compensation structure, recruiting, performance evaluation and employee relations.

In 2001, Conte transitioned to Bright BLU Advisors Inc., where they served as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, they were responsible for office space leasing, sub-letting at a profit, new office construction, configuration and transition. Dave also successfully secured SR&ED refunds of $1.3M each year. During their time at Bright BLU, Conte also worked closely with the venture capital, private equity, venture debt, and banking communities.

Conte is currently Chief Financial Officer at HR.com. In this role, they are responsible for the financial planning and analysis of the company. Dave also provides guidance on investments, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.

Dave Conte has a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. Dave is also a Chartered Accountant and has their certification from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Dave is also certified by ISACA as a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
