Iris Steinmetz has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Iris started their career in the hospitality industry, working in various managerial positions at La Réserve Genève - Hotel and Spa, Ibis Amsterdam Airport, Seaside Hotel Palm Beach, and The Revere Hotel. Iris then transitioned into the technology sector, holding positions at MICROS-FIDELIO GmbH and Oracle Hospitality as an Interface Manager and Technical Product Manager. Iris also worked at SnapShot, a Shiji Group brand, where they served as the VP of Product and Partnerships, VP of Data Partnerships, and Head of Integrations. Iris later joined Raizup (ex WHTT) as an Advisory Board Member and Manager of the Mentoring Program. In 2017, Iris joined Hospitality Technology Next Generation, where they hold the roles of Chair of the Workgroup 'Business Analytics Transactional Extract' and Vendor Advisory Council Member. Most recently, they joined HRS (Hospitality & Retail Systems) as the Senior Director of Operations EMEA.

Iris Steinmetz pursued their education in the field of Hotel & Catering Management from 1996 to 1997 at the University of Portsmouth, where they earned a BA (hons) degree. Prior to that, they attended the Swiss Hotel Management School from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained a Higher Diploma in Hotel Management.
