Evan Almberg, P.E. has a long and varied work history. Starting in 2012, they have held internships at Bedford Industries, Inc. as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, Nucor Corporation as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineering Intern, and Valero Energy Corporation as a Maintenance Engineering Intern. In 2015, they were an Energy Analyst at BTU Engineering, Inc. and a Graduate Research Assistant at South Dakota State University's Biofuels & Energy Analysis Laboratories. Evan then moved to NorthWestern Energy as a Construction Engineer in 2016. In 2017, they joined HRST, Inc. as a Technical Engineering Manager for the HRSG/Process Boilers Dept., an Analyst Engineer, and an Analyst in the Analysis Dept. Their roles have included managing the development of engineering standards, conducting analysis projects for various applications, leading Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Flow Accelerated Corrosion (FAC) projects, and writing conference papers and a book on biomass torrefaction for biofuels and value-added products.

Evan Almberg, P.E. attended South Dakota State University from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a Sustainable Energy System Minor. Evan then returned to South Dakota State University from 2014 to 2016 and obtained an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a Thermo-Fluid Emphasis. Evan has also obtained Professional Engineer (PE) certifications from the Minnesota Board of AELSLAGID, the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, and the State of Maine, as well as Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights certifications from Labour, Training and Skills Development | Travail, Formation et Développement des compétences.
