Andy Bird

Andy Bird is the Technical Acquisitions Lead at High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd, bringing 20 years of experience as an MRICS-qualified property professional. They have successfully delivered significant development and infrastructure projects for both public and private sector organizations, including the £100m regeneration of the former MG Rover manufacturing facility at Longbridge and the £66m Bournville College. Prior to this role, Andy held various positions, including Senior Acquisition Manager at HM Revenue & Customs and Development Team Leader at Advantage West Midlands, where they led large-scale initiatives to foster economic growth in the West Midlands. Andy's expertise encompasses strategic acquisitions, property development, and government liaison, contributing to their reputation as an effective communicator and negotiator in the field. They earned a BSc Honours degree in Land Management from De Montfort University, Leicester.
