James O'Malley has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Parliamentary Support Coordinator in the House of Commons in 2014. James then moved on to become a Deputy Select Committee & Evidence Manager before taking up the position of Correspondence & Briefings Manager in the Public Affairs department. In 2016, James became the Briefings and Submissions Manager in the CEO's Office, and later transitioned to the role of Deputy Chief of Staff, supporting the Chief of Staff and providing strategic and operational assistance to the CEO and Executive Team. James then became the Corporate Sponsor in 2021 before their current role as Head of CFO Office Special Projects at HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd in 2023.

James O'Malley obtained a Bachelor's degree in Politics from the University of East Anglia from 2005 to 2008. James also holds an MSP® Practitioner Certification from PeopleCert, which was obtained in 2023.
