John Davison

John Davison has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. John currently serves as the Head of Health, Safety and Environment - Rail Systems at HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd, where they provide strategic advice and management on health, safety, and environmental matters. Prior to this, they held various positions at HS2, including Head of Health, Safety and Security for Phase Two and Head of Health and Safety Development.

Before joining HS2, John worked as the Head of Occupational Health and Safety Services at Birmingham City Council and as the Head of Occupational Health and Safety at Gloucestershire County Council. John also held the role of Health and Safety Manager at Kingston University and worked as a Principal Safety and Emergency Planning Advisor at the London Borough of Merton.

John's career began at Civic (Vardon) Leisure, where they started as a Recreation Assistant and eventually became a Health and Safety Advisor and Assistant Quality Manager. Throughout their career, John has demonstrated expertise in safety management, strategic planning, and enforcement of safety regulations.

John Davison has a National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and a National Diploma in Environmental Management from The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH). John also has a Certificate in Occupational Health Law from The @ Work Partnership. Additionally, they hold a Master of Arts (MA) in Leisure Management from The University of Sheffield and a Bachelor's Degree (BA Hons) in Music from Colchester Institute.
