Datta Pendse has a strong background in the financial technology industry. Datta started their career in 2002 as an Assistant Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services, where they were responsible for production support, maintenance, and testing activities for the Morgan Stanley Fidessa Trading Platform. Datta then moved on to become a System Analyst, overseeing the rollout of the Fidessa Global OMS at Macquarie Securities in Hong Kong.

In 2007, Datta joined Cognizant Technology Solutions as an Associate Consultant and Senior Business Analyst, specializing in Fidessa CoE, Investment Banking & Brokerage. Datta worked on various FDA-related projects, including upgrades and modifications to the system. Datta also played a key role in the FDA upgrade from Hosted to Enterprise version for a US client.

In 2008, Datta joined JP Morgan London / Cognizant as a Fidessa Developer/Consultant. Datta analyzed functional specifications, developed technical designs and architecture documents, and implemented customized Fidessa functionalities for JPM EMEA business. Datta also built development and SIT environments from scratch and provided support to QA teams.

Datta then worked at Societe Generale London / Cognizant as a Fidessa Analyst from 2010 to 2011, and at MF Global as a Fidessa Analyst in 2011. In 2012, they joined Wipro Technologies as a Domain Consultant, leading the Regulatory Compliance stream focusing on the Dodd Frank Act and Transaction Reporting areas.

Their most recent position was at HSBC, where they served as the Head of Cash Equities Technology India from 2013 to the present. In this role, they led the Cash Equities Technology and Engineering team in Pune, overseeing various areas such as OMS, electronic trading, market connectivity, and order and trade streaming platforms.

Throughout their career, Datta has demonstrated expertise in equity derivatives, prime finance, business analysis, and system development, with a focus on financial trading platforms.

Datta Pendse completed their Master of Technology degree at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University, spanning from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, Datta has also earned several certifications in finance and technology including CFT Level 1, IT in Investment Operations, International Investment Administration Qualification, NCFM - Capital Markets module, and NCFM - Derivatives Markets module.
