Alan Duffy has extensive experience in the banking sector, holding key leadership positions over several decades. Duffy served as Chairman at Aware from September 2017 to November 2021 and was President of Trinity Business Alumni from September 2013 to October 2014. Duffy's banking career includes pivotal roles at Scotiabank as Manager of Corporate Banking, ING as Director of a US & European credit execution team, and HSBC where Duffy advanced from CEO & Head of Wholesale Banking to Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Head of Sustainable Finance Europe. Duffy has a strong background in client-facing relationship management and corporate banking, successfully establishing HSBC's wholesale banking business in Ireland and currently leading sustainable finance activities across a 16-country European network.
