Alasdair Smith

Alasdair Smith is currently the Managing Director of Strategic Equity Financing at HSBC Global Banking and Markets, a role they have held since 2023. Previously, Alasdair served as Director of Strategic Equity Financing at HSBC from 2018 to 2023 and held various director-level positions at Deutsche Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland. Alasdair began their career at PwC as a Manager and worked as an Associate Director at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. Alasdair earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Glasgow, graduating in 1999.
