Alex Thomas

Alex Thomas has over 20 years of experience in financial services, currently serving as Managing Director at HSBC since September 2012, where Alex also held the position of Director in the M&A Execution team. Prior to HSBC, Alex worked at Investec from March 2007 to June 2012 as an Associate in the corporate finance team, focusing on M&A and ECM advice across various sectors. Alex gained valuable experience as an Assistant Secretary on secondment to the Takeover Panel from March 2010 to March 2012 and started a career at KPMG UK as an Analyst from September 2003 to March 2007, completing Chartered Accountancy exams. Alex's educational background includes attendance at Eastbourne College from 1992 to 1997.
