Alexander Greenberg

Alexander Greenberg is the Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel at HSBC, where they lead the global legal coverage of intellectual property and oversee operations related to technology, cyber, data, and emerging tech. They have extensive experience in intellectual property law, having previously served as Vice President, IP and Technology Counsel at Barclays and as General Counsel for a Series-B startup called Golden. Alexander is also an adjunct professor at Cornell Tech, teaching a course on legal considerations in crypto FinTech, and is a co-founder and Board Chair of the Cyber Counsel Group, an association for in-house cybersecurity lawyers. Their legal career began with roles as an associate at firms like Kirkland & Ellis and Fross Zelnick Lehrman & Zissu, and included a summer internship with the California Department of Justice.
