Andrew Hon is currently the Head of Engineering, Digital Assets Technologies at HSBC, overseeing the direction and engineering performance of distributed ledger technology projects. Previously, Andrew was the Co-Founder and CTO of CryptoBLK, where a strong track record was established in building enterprise-grade DLT applications for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, Andrew led the Blockchain Group at ASTRI, spearheading one of the first production-grade DLT systems for the banking industry in Hong Kong and co-authoring the first DLT whitepaper for the Hong Kong Monetary Authority in 2016. Andrew is also a technical advisor and mentor for various fintech companies and holds several technology patents.
