Anna Tavano is the Head of Banking Continental Europe at HSBC, a position Anna assumed in February 2025 after serving in roles of increasing responsibility within the organization since joining in 2018. With 29 years of experience in the financial industry, Anna began her career at Citigroup in London in 1997 and has held significant leadership roles, including Director General in the Italian public sector and Managing Director in Corporate and Investment Banking. Anna earned a degree in Economics from the University of Rome “La Sapienza,” graduating with the highest honours, and has participated in several prestigious executive education programs focused on leadership and board readiness.
