Bashar Tareq

Bashar Tareq is currently the Director and Head of Global Markets at HSBC, where they manage the Sales and Trading business as well as the bank's balance sheet. Previously, they served as the Director, Country Treasurer, and Head of Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities at Citibank N.A. from 2000 to 2008. Bashar began their career at ANZ Bank, Bangladesh, where they worked in various roles, including Management Trainee and Head of Treasury & Balance Sheet Management. They hold a Master's degree in Finance and Banking from Dhaka Bishwabidyalaya and completed a Diploma in Treasury Professional Development at the University of Melbourne.
