David Tierney

David Tierney has extensive experience in risk management and project leadership within the financial services industry, having held key roles at JP Morgan, Marex Spectron, Credit Suisse, and HSBC. As a Credit Executive at JP Morgan from September 2009 to November 2013, David specialized in natural resource and commodity institutions. Subsequent positions included Senior Market Risk Analyst at Marex Spectron and Project Management Consultant at Credit Suisse, where David managed significant regulatory programs. At HSBC, David served as Program Manager for the global LIBOR transition, ensuring compliance and operational readiness, and later directed internal model applications and global treasury risk transformation initiatives. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honours and a DipGrad in Economics from the University of Otago, along with a Master's in Entrepreneurship from the University of Cambridge, where distinctions were achieved.
