Egmont Schaefer

Egmont Schaefer is the Head of Financial Institutions Group, Europe at HSBC, where they oversee business relations with major financial institutions. Previously, they served as the Global Relationship Manager for German and Austrian banks at HSBC and held key positions at BNP Paribas, including Head of Market Risk Management in Germany. Schaefer's extensive experience also includes leadership roles at Thyssen/DEW. They earned a joint master's degree in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen from Technische Universität Darmstadt and studied Microeconomics and Macroeconomics at the University of California, Berkeley.
