Gerard Haughey

Gerard Haughey is the Managing Director and Head of Wholesale Banking in Bangladesh at HSBC, a position held since 2023. Previously, from 2015 to 2018, Gerard designed and delivered HSBC's Global Trade and Receivables Finance fintech strategy and served as a Senior Vice President in the U.S. CEO's Chief of Staff Office, playing a key role in transformative change. Gerard has extensive experience in Global Banking and Markets, having held various roles in Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, and the UK, including leading teams in Consumer Brands and establishing strategies for multinational clients. Gerard earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Aston University in 1998.
