James Shepherd possesses extensive experience in corporate banking, currently serving as the Head of Corporate Banking for the South West at HSBC since June 1994. This role involves leading a team of senior bankers across multiple regions including Bristol, Bath, and Cornwall. Previously, James held various senior positions within HSBC, where responsibilities included managing large corporate portfolios and developing banking propositions aligned with global strategies. Noteworthy experiences include a world travel sabbatical and participation in significant projects such as the acquisition of Mid Med Bank in Malta, which helped position HSBC as the largest bank in Malta. James holds a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Services from Sheffield Hallam University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
