John O'Neill is an accomplished professional in the field of digital assets and finance, currently serving as the HSBC Group Head of Digital Assets & Currencies since 2015, with a focus on digital assets, asset tokenization, Central Bank Digital Currencies, stablecoins, and cryptocurrencies. O'Neill is also a Board Member of HSBC Investment Bank Holdings and of Marketnode, a Singapore-based firm specializing in tokenized assets. His prior experience at NYSE includes leading product development for the Fixed Income franchise and managing product and market development for the Equity Derivatives business. O'Neill holds a BEng (Hons) in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bath and an MA in Contemporary Politics and History from Birkbeck, University of London.
