Libardo Gerardino is a Managing Director at HSBC Global Banking and Markets, leading the FX and EM rates trading teams in the Americas. With over 15 years of experience in foreign exchange and emerging markets trading, Libardo has demonstrated a strong track record of delivering profitable, risk-adjusted returns while managing diverse portfolios. Prior to their current role, Libardo held key positions at Goldman Sachs and Citi, and began their career as an FX derivatives trader at BBVA Colombia. Libardo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes, a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from the University of Essex, and a Master of Science in Economics and Finance from the University of Warwick. Libardo is dedicated to mentoring teams and promoting diversity within the financial industry.
